Supreme Living is Hiring a Nursing Supervisor Near Olympia, WA

Description

 $105,000 - $115,000 (DOE)

Supreme Living requires current COVID-19 booster (due yearly) and yearly flu vaccination. We offer a medical exemption if a signed provider note is submitted in lieu of vaccinations. Mask mandates are still in place within the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and LICENSURE: 

  • LPN with a current Washington State licensure. 
  • BSN desired, but not required.
  • Three years clinical experience is required, preferably in a mental health environment.
  • Three years’ management experience, preferably at a director level.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License required or the equivalent if residence in Washington is new.
  • Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Nursing Supervisor provides oversight and direction for facility nursing functions including staff supervision. 

HUMAN RESOURCES OVERSIGHT:

  • Assists the CEO in interviewing and hiring of Nursing staff. 
  • Provides supervision of all clinical nursing staff. 
  • Conducts performance evaluations, performance improvement plan development, staff appreciation, execution of disciplinary actions, and general support and guidance. 
  • In cooperation with the CEO, develops an annual staff development plan for clinical staff. 
  • In cooperation with the CEO arranges and conducts staff meetings. 
  • Provides oversight and guidance for scheduling to ensure that an adequate number of appropriately trained staff are present to meet the acuity needs of the residents.
  • Ensures compliance with nursing standards, program policies and procedures, and ESF and RTF licensing requirements. Oversees all necessary documentation, including the maintenance of medical records, and participates in State Compliance Reviews and Audits. 
  • Maintains availability to staff when needed by phone or in person, during and after business hours.

DIRECT PATIENT CARE:

  • In cooperation with the CEO assist with preadmission screening to ensure the resident care needs can be met.
  • In collaboration with the Program Administrator’s, ensure the residents’ needs are assessed and the service / treatment plan is developed.
  • Upon admission into the facilities, conduct the Initial Nursing Assessment for residents.
  • In cooperation with the MHP’s ensure service / treatment plans are updated as needed and at least every 180 days.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly Treatment / Service Plan meetings as needed.
  • Review all physician orders and lab results.
  • Assists with performing and documenting other evaluations/assessments as needed.
  • Assesses the condition of each resident and conducts routine screening functions. 
  • Measures basic physiological functioning and reports significant findings (e.g. vital signs, fluid intake and output).
  • Supports and promotes nutritional status (e.g. dietary regiments, supplemental therapy, etc.).
  • Evaluates resident complaints of specific ailments.
  • Intervenes with proper techniques, procedures, and safety precautions to meet individual needs.
  • Ensures appropriate physician orders for each medication by reviewing new orders and assists the Program Administrator with an order review per facility policies.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS:

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with hospitals, physicians, pharmacists, state employees and insurance case managers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships between local Nursing and CNA programs and schools.
